MACAU
Nascido em Macau em 1989, com bacharelado em Sociologia pela Universidade de Macau, Tang é um dos fundadores do coletivo fotográfico de Macau, “Dialect”. Participou de mais de 60 exposições de arte em Macau e no exterior, além de cinco exposições individuais. Ele aborda temas como cidade, tempo, memória e cultura local para explorar, através da paisagem artificial, a interconexão entre os habitantes urbanos, paisagens e a existência humana versus a Natureza, bem como seus respectivos significados. As suas obras foram colectadas por coleccionadores, organizações locais, Universidade de Macau, Fundação Oriente, Macau Criativo – Centro de Indústrias Criativas, Museu de Arte de Macau e Fundação PLMJ de Portugal. O seu livro de fotografia “LINE” está agora nas colecções do Centre George Pompidou, Museu Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia e bibliotecas do Museu Gulbenkian.
Born in Macau in 1989 with a BA in Sociology from the University of Macau, Tang is founder of the Macau photo collective – “Dialect”. He has participated in more than 60 arts exhibitions in Macao and overseas, besides five solo shows. He takes on such themes as city, time, memory and local culture to explore, through man-made landscape, the interconnection among urbanites, landscapes and human existence versus Nature, as well as their respective meaning. His works were collected by collector, local organizations,University of Macau, Orient Foundation, Creative Macau – Center for Creative Industries, Macau Museum of Art and Portugal PLMJ Foundation. His photobook “LINE” is now in the collections of the Centre George Pompidou, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia and Gulbenkian museum libraries.

In contrast, landscapes were often appreciated for their beauty while overlooking the insignificant exotic scenes. However, I recognize the significance of these insignificant scenes as symbols of place and time, representing the observations and records of the landscapes. My goal is to redefine the monotonous image of the city by integrating all its elements into a cohesive visual representation that encompasses people, community, local culture, nature, and personal memories.
